“My Facebook page is where I like to publicly flaunt all of my weird little successes and failures at cosplay. I love talking to people about whatever they may be working on and exchanging methods and ideas. Come at me b

Despite Snowprint's commendable effort to hold players' hands during the first few stages of the campaign, the game inevitably introduces deeper mechanics and more complex strategic elements that may be off-putting to less-seasoned gamers. Throughout my time with Legend of Solgard , I often used my father's fascination with Candy Crush and other similar mobile games as an impromptu litmus test. Every time the game introduced one of its new mechanics, whether it be a character's unique ability, mana, or Sun Gems, I kept asking myself, “would my dad continue to play th
In _ HotS _ experience is shared between the whole team, making each player on that team the same level as the next. If every member of the team is playing well, then the team’s level will reflect that, making every role important whether or not that role is particularly great at farming experience or
“The demon hunter was the project that I decided to do after I went to my first major convention and got a good look at what other people were producing. I mained a demon hunter all the way through Diablo 3 , had loved the character and the artwork associated with it. It seemed a natural choice for me at the time. I just kind of sat down one day, looked at my boyfriend, and said “This. This is what I want to do next.” So I did it. Rather poorly. It was pretty much glued together and the first time I wore it to Megacon, it hadn’t even been sealed, I just slapped paint on it. It evolved quite a bit between Megacon and Supercon. It now just sits on a mannequin in my room, it’s almost too fragile to wear out anymore. There’s a nostalgic part of me that wants to remake it knowing everything I know now
They gave me a chance and let me cast a game and I was like, “Alright, thanks!” He emailed me next week and asked, “Hey, would you like to cast this game too?” I'm like, “Sure,” and he would give me a game to cast. Then, over time, another person reached out, “Hey, do you want to cast this, you want to cast that?” Sure! It just snowballed from th
While Legend of Solgard is filled to the brim with in-game goodies, there's something to be said about the organic way in which the game handles all of its in-game chests, currencies, and gems. Even though Legend of Solgard contains its fair-share of microtransactions, none of them feel particularly predatory, or for that matter, mandatory. During the time I spent with the MOBA Game news (which was notably pre-launch and possibly tested before the final pricing model has been established), I never once felt compelled to insert my credit card number nor did I ever feel like the game was designed explicitly to elicit money from its gameplay loop. The initial dread of looming microtransactions that loomed over me while I was enjoying Pokemon Quest was noticeably absent during my tenure with Legend of Solgard , and that comfort made the game all the more enjoya
Rather than harassing your team, you should harass the champions, by trading attacks with them or dealing damage to push them out of their lane. To successfully trade, you will want to hit your target for as much damage while taking the least amount of damage yourself. Lane harassing is when you “trade” damage but receive none in return, essentially bullying the enemy into a weaker position as you deny them
RISK: Starcraft Collector's Edition Board Game is a uniquely Blizzard take on the classic strategy game. Just like in the video game, players must choose between the Terrans, Protoss or Zerg and then head into battle in an attempt to gain control of the Koprulu Sector. While base-building in Starcraft the video game can get complicated at times, this board game follows traditional RISK rules, meaning anyone ages 10 and up can jump right in. The Starcraft theme touches every part of this game, including the highly-detailed custom playing pie
That being said, in its own unique way, Legend of Solgard' s mid-core style of game design is considerably more palatable than other mobile games. The gameplay loop is repeatedly made satisfying by its own rich complexity; the kind of casual challenge that could only come from a mobile title. The more I play Legend of Solgard and ponder the strengths and weakness of my characters, the different varieties of enemies, and different combinations I have at my disposal, the more I get sucked into it. Despite appearing to an outsider as a simple match-three puzzle game, Legend of Solgard contains the ripe intricacy of a four-dimensional game of chess. Not only do players have to strategically maneuver their factions to attack and defend against their enemy counterparts, they constantly have to focus on the metagame. As each character has its own distinct special ability, the game forces you to contemplate which characters you should utilize during each turn and (later on) which characters you should bring into each fight in gene
