A couple of weeks ago, Bungie revealed their long-term plans for [[https://www.destiny2fans.com/|Destiny 2 Walkthrough]] 2, announcing major expansions for the game going all the way into 2022 at the very least. Instead of being on its way out, Destiny 2 may indeed only be halfway through its lifespan. With that in mind, perhaps now is a good time to look back and see how the game has grown since its dismal launch week.

Not only do many of these new weapons push the envelope in terms of damage, but Bungie has also increased the utility of the weapon type with a particular entry. As a result, Snipers are seeing increased use across the PvE landscape, from Grandmaster Strikes and Raid Encounters to Dungeons and basic Strikes. There’s no justification for this other than Bungie thinking they can get away with it and they most certainly will. When Forsaken launches in September, Destiny fans will have been waiting for about a year for the game to finally become what it should have been in the first place. If Forsaken turns out to be as good as it looks, then Bungie deserves to be rewarded for it. There’s no excuse for all the scumminess surrounding it, though, especially when there are similar games like Monster Hunter World, Warframe and Rainbow Six: Siege that are all enjoying massive success without dipping into any exploitative business practices.

The Worm God seems to be the most distressed, angry, and complicated boss in the game. Libras tend to avoid conflict and are generally gentle and diplomatic, but they might be able to relate to Xol's (possible) insecurity due to being the weakest Worm

Destiny 2 has been on a more or less upward trend since then. The game’s been getting better and players have more ways to enjoy their time in the game now than ever before. This isn’t to say that there haven’t been problems of course. Bungie has put a lot of effort into delivering continuous, seasonal content since the launch of Forsaken, and that content has run the gamut from bad to actually pretty good. Perhaps "bad" is actually too strong of a word to use regarding any of this content. Instead, it’s probably better to say that Destiny 2’s seasonal offerings were underwhelming at worst.
